Cosmos Laundromat
My re-composition of the Blender Foundation's amazing short, Cosmos Laundromat. Featuring a lush, emotive synth-scape ready to accompany the animation's outstanding visuals. Originally produced by Ton Roosendaal under Project Gooseberry.
An Object at rest
Seth Boyden’s stunning animation An Object At Rest was released in 2015 to critical acclaim. Following the not-so-simple story of a stone who simply wants to be left alone, Boyden’s short film sees the stone traverse centuries as its desire for peace battles human evolution. Originally scored by Julian Beutel, Gaba Wright’s re-score captures the excitement and intrigue of the plot as well as sonically embodies humankind’s development.
The Creed
A re-score of The Cue Tube’s new short ‘The Creed’, this composition featues gritty percussion, pulsing synths, energetic strings, and an overall high-octane 90’s-inspired sonic backdrop to this passionate depiction of the world of boxing, training, and dedication.
Lair of the Narcomancer
A recent collaboration with the Melbourne-based game production team The Skeleton Gang. My music sticks to the vibe of the game’s neo-80s, synthwave aesthetic - and complements the awesome visuals and gameplay!
Lair of the Narcomancer is a fast-paced first-person shooter. The player is equipped with a Shotgun and the ability to shoot lightning from their Mega Gauntlet, along with a suite of abilities to navigate the environment including a dash, mantle and vault. Check out the game trailer to the left!
Si (if)
Written and directed by Sara Glaoua, Si (If) is a stirring, poignant, and emotionally-driven short film that focuses on a young boy and his lofty dreams. Full of beautiful cinematography and touching symbolism, Si (If) is accompanied by Gaba Wright’s re-score; aiming to capture the poeticism through sound.
Created, scored, and *drawn by Gaba Wright, The Last Job follows a soon-to-be-retired robber as he attempts to heist a large casino in Monaco. Following the hints throughout the casino, players must uncover clues in order to find keys, learn vital information, and get to the penthouse without being spotted. Players can choose their own paths by selecting different options based off each new circumstance and interaction as they move throughout the casino. So find the puzzles, avoid detection, engage in some casino games, and see if you can make it out alive from The Last Job!
Elephant’s Dream
A fantastic animation created by the Blender Foundation in 2006, Elephant’s Dream rose to prominent success as the world’s first open-ended 3D movie. Originally scored by Jan Morgenstern, Gaba Wright’s re-score depicts the parable of human relationships while accompanying the gorgeous and unique visual landscape.
